Wilhelmina Turkovich

AMFT 140067

Associate Therapist

Wilhelmina believes that we become who we truly are in a safe, welcoming, and loving environment -- free from judgment and imposed expectation. She hopes that in this work together the client can safely be encouraged to explore the challenging parts of life while feeling held and unconditionally seen.

She understands what a big decision it can be to seek out a psychotherapist — it requires a willingness to be vulnerable, to self-reflect and consider change.  She recognizes the courage and strength that is required to heal from shame, loss, despair and conflict within our core values and self-image.  Therapy is not easy work, but when done with kindness towards oneself, compassion and peace, it is life affirming.

Wilhelmina uses a broad scope of modalities to address her client’s goals including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Relational Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and somatic techniques. She is experienced with working with adolescents and young adults, addressing life's challenges including depression, trauma, sexual health, neurodiversity and anxiety. As a mother of three young children, Wilhelmina is also well versed in the grief and attachment difficulties that often accompanies the perinatal and postnatal experience.
