Committing to personal healing is an act of courage and self-love. As we embrace and engage our own healing, we also participate in healing the world. I believe every human being is imbued with great purpose and is called to live into this as fully as possible. My intention as a practitioner of the healing arts is to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment where clients can explore and engage their life experiences in a way that is nurturing as well as transformative. I believe how we relate to ourselves, one another, and the world is essential to the healing process; therefore, our work together will be rooted in the therapeutic relationship.
I have many years of experience working with clients on an array of life issues. I received my masters in clinical social work from Rutgers University and my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. My clinical orientation is towards whole person treatment, and I engage an array of modalities depending on the needs of my clients, including mindfulness, DBT, psychodynamic, interpersonal, relational, somatic, and transpersonal. Currently I have been at the DBT Center of Marin for over 3 years and also maintain my own private practice.
My experience includes working with adults, teens, couples, and families on challenges related to anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, distress, self harm, self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, grief, major life transitions, and spiritual guidance. I believe in a holistic, integral approach to care that includes attending to mind, body, and spirit. My commitment is to helping clients heal and transform, as well as awaken to their purpose and live authentic, meaningful lives.
