Jed Purses Associate MFT (AMFT111505)
Jed brings a holistic approach to mental health treatment, and is experienced providing individual, group and family therapy in outpatient settings. Ultimately, Jed believes in meeting clients in their toughest moments to transform wounds, hardships, depression, anxiety into sources of power and resilience.
Jed has served many different populations in a variety of roles. As a family therapist in a residential clinic, Jed has worked intensively with teens suffering from severe anxiety, depression and trauma. Jed has also served as a parent coach and teacher of an ongoing parenting skills course. In addition, Jed has spent years supporting adults, resolving past wounds, developing healthier more fulfilling relationships and exploring and developing life purpose.
Jed competed his undergraduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. Jed has also completed a two year comprehensive training in the Hakomi method, a mindfulness based somatic psychotherapy.
